Die-hard fans of Apple are always eager to know something new about upcoming iPhone 6, and fortunately, the continuously growing tech news world of web always brings something interesting to feed their curiosity. iOS 8 Files that surfaced last week give us indication of possible resolution for iPhone 6. It was claimed that iPhone 6 would come up with 828×1472 resolution, but nothing was told if this resolution would be for 4.7-inch variant or 5.5-inch one?

If we apply the leaked resolution figure to 4.7-inch model, then we can expect to get an incredible pixel density, but if we apply it to 5.5-inch model, then it does not give us an iPhone with any impressive pixel density. In fact, 5.5-inch model with that much screen resolution will have even lesser pixel density than iPhone 5S, something that does not happen with Apple’s products, as company’s successor devices are always better than predecessors.

Latest report from John Gruber of Daring Fireball offers new possible resolutions for 4.7-inch model and 5.5-inch variants.

It’s highly likely that John Gruber’s conclusion about what could be resolution in upcoming iPhone models, is based on math, and not on any proof obtained online or offline. It’s known to everyone that Gruber has got links with Apple. So, whatever he has concluded, or claiming, is something that must be taken with seriousness. There are chances of getting that info true.

By using Pythagorean Theorem, Gruber has concluded that 1334×750 pixel screen resolution will be there in 4.7-inch model of iPhone 6. It means that the device will have 326ppi pixel density and Apple’s much famous and loved “Retina” quality. 2208×1242 screen resolution and 461ppi pixel density are what we expect to see in 5.5-inch model of iPhone 6.

Gruber believes that by coming up with aforesaid pixel densities, Apple can easily take the pixels of existing apps to higher peak, which will make  non-Retina apps work fine on newer displays and iPhones.

Well, just like other claims, it’s something we can’t take with assurance. But yes, it does give us idea what we could get in upcoming iPhone 6. By the way, the device is likely to get wrapped off by company on 9th of next month, so just a small time to pass more. Be with us to know everything about this much-waited device.
