Apple iOS 8.1 Beta 2 Shows Nothing Ground-Breaking, Leaves Apple Users Annoyed

Life can be very cruel at times. The iOS 8.0.2 had literally Apple users uprooting their hair in frustration. While they waited for iOS 8.0.3 fix, Apple tossed iOS 8.1 beta 2 to developers. The problems brought to you by the last iOS update were not fixed yet and here we are telling you that the seeded iOS 8.1 beta 2 video has nothing new for you too.

Apple iOS 8.1 Beta 2 Shows Nothing Ground-Breaking, Leaves Apple Users Annoyed

Reportedly, Apple has made this release which promised to contain the fixes and improvements that plagued not just newbies iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus but iPhone 5S, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S too.

Yes, we know that it does not put an end to your problems but it is our duty to give you update. Users are getting very vocal on Apple forums and social media about the annoyance they are facing with the iOS 8 update which involves missing icons, connectivity problems with cellular network or WiFi, faster battery drain and glitches with iMessage. When we took to the release to review the first looks of the beta update, (hoping to see some sorely needed fixes) we were disappointed that nothing life-changing is noticeable here.

However, it will be entirely dismissive of Apple to release a new beta in case there were not some changes. Indeed there are but nothing which is visible to the naked eye and to be called ground-breaking. Whatever is there, it is under-the-hood. As per a report, changes are made to Address Book UI. Now, developers can play around third-party keyboard app as this beta update works its way around with the software. WiFi problems on the T-Mobile network has been said to be sorted too. Apple, though states this beta update as mere “bug fixes and improvements.”

This spoils the anticipation users were building hoping to see a way out and to be really able to play with their new toy, iOS 8. The iOS 8.1 beta 2 has missed the mark badly and has placed Apple users in a position that leaves them in the middle of nowhere.

Please note that iOS 8.1 beta 2 is intended for devices which are registered with the Californian Company under Apple Developer Program. Any attempt to install this version on unregistered device can render your Apple device useless.

Rumors are ripe that iOS 8.1, the final savior update shall arrive on October 20th which may also bring the new feature Apple Pay onboard. This might also be the comeback ride of Camera Roll feature which lets you take a glance at 30-days’old photographs. Along with this, expect third-party app permission view, capability to turn-off or on keyboard dictation and bigger icons in the widget section.

Since the beta update does not bring any good news to Apple users, the speculation that Apple might be working on the multiple version of software update, iOS 8.1, iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3 has suddenly gone very strong. The new 12.9 inch iPad, iPad Pro is also scheduled to arrive early next year. So, Apple would really want to work on the software glitches to make its second higher revenue earning category work after such long hiatus.

Meanwhile, we can just keep our fingers crossed that the highly-anticipated iOS 8.1 does not brings any hidden bugs with it like it happened with the earlier update. We would also like to ask from our fellow Apple pundits and users if they have spotted anything in the iOS 8.1 beta 2 update which we might have missed.
